Two small groups of young women from the Josephine Bultler Unit at Downview YOI took part in a 10- week street art project. This was aimed at exploring important personal and social issues and expressing powerful pieces of art work on canvas with awareness, imformative and though provoking messages. Each individal created a portfolio featuring all their designs, ideas and photos. They also had to produce a written piece explaining their themes and messages. Once finished the works were all displayed in the unit.

August 2005

Two small groups of young women from the Josephine Bultler Unit at Downview YOI took part in a 4- week mural project. The aim of this was to create two boards for display on the security fence near their garden. The theme was to focus on the positive aspects of moving on in life and change. The groups came up with two bright uplifting and inspiring pieces of work.
