Positive Arts is a community arts company that works with young people between the ages of 8-18 from all backgrounds and abilities. We are responsible for the organisation and implementation of art workshops, projects and programmes that focus on educational based artwork with personal and social objectives. We have a team of qualified and experienced artists/youth workers who specialise in aerosol/street/graphic based art. We also facilitate workshops using all other forms of visual art i.e. decorative painting, t-shirt painting/design or even more focussed individual art therapy sessions. Our artists are also available to do individual commissioned works such as signs, murals, backdrops, set design and canvases.

Over the last few years our artists have been involved in producing numerous quality artworks on canvases, boards, interior or exterior walls for various youth agencies, youth offending teams, units, schools and lots of other community based projects and organisations. All of our workshops have an important educational element and are carefully planned to address the needs of the client, group and the young people involved. We believe that it is important to get the y/p engaged in every stage of a project from the ideas, discussion and design through to the practical in order to maximize their experience and personal outcome. Our workshops are an effective and powerful way of getting y/p to express themselves through preventative/awareness messages and to explore important issues such as drugs, sexual health, healthy living, social exclusion and racism etc. They are also a great way of engaging young people in constructive, positive and empowering activities where many life skills can be gained.
